Possible Risks:

• Thyroid C-Cell Tumors: Semaglutide may increase the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors, including a type of thyroid cancer. Your doctor will monitor you for any signs of these tumors.

• Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas can occur. Contact your doctor if you experience severe abdominal pain.

• Gallbladder Disease: Semaglutide may increase the risk of gallstones and gallbladder inflammation.

• Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia): Semaglutide can lower blood sugar levels, especially if you have diabetes and take other medications.

• Kidney Problems: Rarely, semaglutide may cause kidney problems.

• Allergic Reactions: Severe allergic reactions can occur. Seek medical help if you experience symptoms like difficulty breathing, swelling, or hives.

• Other Risks: Other possible risks include worsening of diabetic eye disease, increased heart rate, and suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

Before Starting Semaglutide:

• Tell your doctor about your medical history, including any history of thyroid cancer, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or allergies.
